This is a report on the activities of the Nominating Committee. The committee was composed of:

• Geoffrey Rockwell
• Julia Flanders (recused from the committee for discussions around nominations/election for VP)
• Adrian Miles
• Matthew Kirschenbaum

We had to nominate people for the positions of President, Vice President, and 3 Executive Positions. We nominated two people for the position of President, two for Vice- President, and seven for Executive Council.

As you know John Unsworth was elected President, Julia Flanders was elected Vice-President, and to the Executive Council, Natalia Smith, N. Katherine Hayles, and Neil Fraistat. The election was managed by Chuck Bush and Ray Siemens.

It has been common for people to stay on the committee for two years (and be chair in their second year.) The Executive should discuss replacements for those who are ending their term or do not wish to serve.
