ACH Jobs Support

ACH Jobs Support is a new resource for those entering the field of humanities computing. Because this field is so large and touches on many different areas (library science, text encoding, project management, computer programming, information design, and many others), it may be difficult for recent graduates or those just entering the field to get oriented--to know what sorts of expertise they need, where to look for work, what to expect. Through Jobs Support, we offer access to people currently working in all areas of humanities computing, who are willing to offer advice and guidance to those who need it.

We are actively recruiting new mentors in all areas of humanities computing and related fields (including but not limited to library science, SGML/XML consulting, academic computing and faculty support, IT project management, technology consulting, new media, computational linguistics).

To request a mentor, or to become a mentor, please contact Steve Ramsay (sramsay at uga dot edu). Please indicate your background and interests, and (if requesting a mentor) what kind of advice you are seeking.
