This is an electronic copy of the _ACH Newsletter_, published quarterly by the Association for Computers and the Humanities (ACH). ACH is an international organization devoted to promoting and developing computer use in humanities disciplines, especially language and textual studies.
Members of the ACH receive the _ACH Newsletter_ in both hard copy and electronic form, as well as 6 issues a year of _Computers and the Humanities_, the premier scholarly journal for research in the field of humanities computing, published by Kluwer Press.
ACH members also benefit from a reduced registration fee for the association's annual conference (the reduction is equivalent to the annual membership cost), co-sponsored by the European-based Association for Linguistic and Literary Computing (ALLC). The next conference will be in Santa Barbara, California, July 11-15, 1995.
Contributions to the _ACH Newsletter_ are welcomed, including project reports, conference announcements, software reviews, and short articles of relevance to humanities computing. Contributions should be sent to the editor at the address given at the end of this file.
